Data Deletion Request Policy

This data deletion policy applies to the CLEIN mobile app and website, available on Google Play Store and other platforms. You are not required to uninstall the CLEIN app to request the deletion of your data.

1. Introduction

CLEIN is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your personal data. In line with our commitment to transparency and data protection, this policy describes how you can request the deletion of personal data collected by us. We ensure that all processing complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable legal standards.

2. Your Rights

You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data in the following cases:

  • Data no longer necessary: The data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected.
  • Withdrawal of consent: You have withdrawn consent and there are no other legal bases for the processing.
  • Objection to processing: You object to the processing and there are no overriding legitimate grounds.
  • Unlawful processing: Your data has been processed unlawfully.

3. How to Submit a Deletion Request

  1. Log in to your account through the CLEIN website or mobile app.
  2. Go to Account Settings > Data Deletion Request.
  3. Fill out the required form with:
    • Your registered email address
    • Reason for deletion (optional)
    • Choice to delete your entire account or only specific types of data
  4. Submit the form. You will receive a confirmation email.

Note: You may request the deletion of specific data only, such as message history, saved addresses, or profile picture.

4. Identity Verification

To ensure your privacy and data security, we will verify your identity before processing any request. Verification methods may include:

  • Email confirmation to your registered address
  • Request for additional documents (e.g., proof of identity), if necessary

5. Processing Time

We aim to complete data deletion requests within 30 calendar days from the date of identity verification. If there are delays due to complexity or legal consultations, we will inform you with timely updates.

6. Data Retention Exceptions

In some cases, we are legally obligated to retain certain data even after a deletion request, such as:

  • Legal compliance: Tax, accounting, or regulatory obligations
  • Fraud prevention: Data necessary for security investigations
  • Legal disputes: Data needed for legal defense or dispute resolution

7. Exclusions

Deletion may not be possible in the following cases:

  • Active service contracts or agreements in place
  • Data necessary for platform security
  • Ongoing legal claims or court proceedings
